A chair mould is the steel tool that injection-molds a plastic chair in one shot. Most monobloc chair moulds are single-cavity. Steel and build quality you can rely on

Steel choice decides how long your mould lasts and how clean your chairs look. We pick it around your volume, not around our margin.

For most PP chairs we use P20 or 1.2738, pre-hardened to 28 to 32 HRC. It machines well, polishes well, and runs 500,000 shots without trouble. For a higher polish or longer life we step up to 718H.

You rarely need S136 stainless for a chair. That steel is for clear or medical parts. Paying for it here just burns your budget. An honest mould maker tells you that.

High-wear areas like slides and the gate get hardened inserts. They take the abuse, so the main block does not. When wear shows up after years, you swap an insert, not the whole tool.
