Industrial Equipment Plastic Housing Manufacturer

Topworks manufactures custom industrial equipment plastic housings and injection molds for OEM machinery and equipment manufacturers. Our work covers machine covers, instrument housings, equipment panels, structural plastic cases and molded components used in industrial assemblies.

For an equipment manufacturer, the supplier needs to understand more than the outside shape. The housing must fit the machine, accommodate internal components and remain suitable for the planned production volume.

Industrial Components

  • Machine and equipment covers
  • Industrial instrument housings
  • Automation equipment cases
  • Control unit housings
  • Structural molded plastic panels
  • Custom mounting components

Plastic Housings for Industrial Equipment Manufacturers

Industrial equipment projects are varied. One customer may need a compact instrument case. Another may need several large covers and internal structural components for a machine assembly.

We quote against the actual part design and production requirements. The objective is to build tooling that makes sense for the product’s service conditions and expected manufacturing life.

Machine Covers

Custom plastic outer covers and panels for industrial machinery and equipment.

Instrument Housings

Injection molded cases for industrial measurement, monitoring and control devices.

Structural Components

Plastic supports, mounting features and internal components used in equipment assemblies.

One Manufacturing Team for Tooling and Molded Parts

When the mold supplier and production supplier are separate companies, questions about fit, dimensional changes and tooling adjustments can take longer to resolve.

Topworks connects the main stages of the project:

  • Drawing review and DFM feedback
  • Material and tooling feasibility discussion
  • Mold design and manufacturing
  • Tool trials and T0/T1 samples
  • Dimensional and assembly review
  • Injection molding for approved parts
  • Inspection, packaging and shipping coordination

This arrangement is particularly useful when an equipment project contains several related plastic parts. The tooling decisions can be reviewed against the final assembly rather than in isolation.

Choosing the Right Plastic Material for Industrial Housings

Material selection should follow the operating conditions. A cover used indoors under normal conditions has a different requirement from a housing exposed to impact, heat, chemicals or outdoor service.

MaterialPossible Application
ABSGeneral industrial equipment covers and housings
PC/ABSEquipment cases requiring a balance of appearance and mechanical properties
PCSelected impact-resistant components
PA66 GFReinforced structural parts and mounting components
PPSelected chemical-resistant and general industrial parts
PBTSelected electrical and equipment components

We need the exact resin grade, not just the material family, before confirming a production quotation. Reinforcement, flame retardants, UV requirements and colour can all affect processing and part performance.

What Industrial OEM Buyers Should Check in a Mold Quote

A low tooling price does not tell you whether the quotation covers the complete manufacturing requirement.

Before placing an order, compare the mold scope, steel specification, expected sample stages, critical dimensions, inspection responsibility and any production assumptions. Also check whether changes after T1 sampling are included or quoted separately.

For large covers and structural components, discuss visible surface requirements and assembly interfaces early. These are expensive details to resolve after the tool is finished.

How We Review an Industrial Housing Project

We start with the product files and the intended production conditions. If a design is still being finalized, we can identify the main open points before tooling begins.

Part Review

Review geometry, material, assembly and critical requirements.

Tooling Plan

Discuss mold structure, side actions, cooling and production feasibility.

Sample Approval

Review molded samples against agreed dimensions and customer acceptance criteria.
